There’s Always a Way (#357 of 365+)

“For Christ's love compels us” (2 Corinthians 5:14)

Joni said, “There is always a way—a creative, sincere way—to share the love of Christ.” The first step should be prayer, by asking the Holy Spirit to
inspire me and to use me. Even if I don’t like this city very much I realize the Lord has arranged for my family to be here, in this neighborhood, for a unique purpose. He has his reasons for giving me these spiritual gift(s) and allowing me to develop a specific skill set. As God works his will throughout the world today, his Church has the high calling of demonstrating the love of Christ to everyone it touches. Even though Christians are sometimes called to reach outside their own individual circles, God usually places someone near us on purpose. We just have to open our eyes and look around…

Who might be the next person whose life is changed forever because God’s love showed through my words or actions? Could it be the neighbor who asked my family to watch her dog for a couple of days? A child who receives an Operation Christmas Child gift shoebox that I helped to provide? The lady at work who seeks out my advice?

Lord, who I am and where I am is not an accident. You have a plan to work out everything according to your purposes. Thank you for giving me the privilege to be a part of it all. Use me, Lord. May your love in me splash over onto someone else’s life today and every day. Amen.
