Reasons! (#330 of 365+)

“In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may be
proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed” (1 Peter 1:6-7)

I can trust that the Lord has good reasons when he allows me to go through trials and hardships. One reason is to develop godly character. As Joni said, “God is more concerned with conforming us to the likeness of his Son than leaving us in our comfort zones. God is more interested in inward qualities than outward circumstances.”

“Let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity” (Hebrews 6:1)

Father, I’m in your hands and I trust your reasons even though I don’t know the details of your plan. Strengthen my faith as I dive into the meat of your Word, and take me to the next level of maturity. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
